Bandipora, Oct 11, KDC: At least ten residential houses were gutted in a massive fire, which broke out in baduab Tulail Village of Gurez sub-division in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday.

Soon after the fire incident the local and Fire tenders rushed to spot to douse the flames.

A police official told news agency KDC that three houses were completely gutted while as seven other were partially damaged in the fire incident.

He said “However, all the people residing in the houses were evacuated safely and no loss of life or injury was reported”.

He further said that ‘Chimney’ is believed to be the cause behind the fire, however police registered a case pertaining to the incident and investigations are on.

An Official of Fire and Emergency Services told news agency KDC that soon after they got information about the fire incident, fire fighters were rushed to the spot and after putting in hard efforts, they controlled the fire from spreading further.

Meanwhile, people have appealed to the district administration Bandipora to provide early relief to the victim families of fire incident. (KDC)
