Srinagar, Oct 06 (KNS): Student of 11th class on Tuesday appealed authorities to conduct their examination in March or give them mass promotion as they couldn’t complete their syllabus due to ongoing pandemic situation which closed down all educational activities across the globe.
Talking to Kashmir News Services, a group of students said they have not attended classes this year due to Covid-19 pandemic situation. They said though authorities facilitated students online classes but that too remained distant dream due to weak internet services.
They appealed authorities to conduct their examination in March so that the students will prepare rest of the syllabus or announce mass promotion like other classes enjoyed.
A girl student from Shopian told KNS that most of the students have not attended the online classes due to internet problems and her most the classmates belong to far flung areas where there was no internet connectivity due to several reasons. She appealed authorities to look into the matter for safeguarding the career of students.
When KNS contacted to Chairperson JKBOSE Veena Pandita, she said that no mass promotion will be given to students. When asked about the demand of students to conduct exams in March, She said the matter is under consideration. (KNS)
