Anantnag, Oct 12, KNT: Anganawadi workers Monday staged a protest at Hanfia Eidagh here in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district demanding release of their salaries.
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Trust said that scores of Anganwadi workers assembled in Eidgah ground and raised slogans in favour of their demand.
The protesting workers said that the government is neglecting the hard work of Anganwadi employees. They said despite putting hard efforts and working with dedication they are not being regularly paid as a result they are being forced to stage protest after every month.
“We haven’t received a penny from past four months. Despite repeated pleas and demonstrations, the government is not listening to us,” they said and impressed upon the governor administration to look into the matter. (KNT)
