PATTAN : A 20 year old married girl ended her life this evening by consuming poison here in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The incident occurred at Goshbugh Pattan.

The girl (name withheld) wife of Muhammad Saleem was found unconscious at her home. She was taken to Pattan hospital where doctors referred her to SMHS hospital. At SMHS hospital, she died this evening.

Confirming her death, a doctor at SMHS hospital told that the girls had consumed poison. He said the body of the lady has been shifted to mortuary. “Her samples for Covid-19 has been taken and once the report arrives, the body will be handed over to the family.”

Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the case and set investigation into motion. (KNT)
