Bandipora, June 28, KNT: Anti Corruption Bureau has directed Wullar Mansbal Development Authority (WMDA) to submit all the details related to the developmental work of parks by June 30 (Tuesday).

There are two parks in picturesque Mansbal Lake while another park namely Guroora Vintage Park is also being looked after by Wullar Mansbal Development Authority here in North Kashmir.

Reliable sources told news agency KNT that Anti-Corruption Bureau has taken cognizance of the complaints related to the alleged mismanagement and misuse of funds in the developmental works of parks by WMDA.

They said that ACB has shot a letter to Chief Executive Officer Yasmeen Khan directing her to submit all the details of works done in the parks since 2016 till date by Tuesday.

An official of WMDA confirmed to KNT that they have received a letter from ACB. “The anti-graft body has asked us to submit the details of works undertaken in three parks since 2016 to 2020 till date by June 30. I think, we will submit these details in the office of Anti-Corruption Bureau before the deadline. We have collected almost all the details and will submit it tomorrow,” he said.

He said any plan for the development of parks is approved by Civil Secretariat. “Mostly we have done maintenance and repair works in these parks and everything is in black and white,” he said.

However, Chief Executive Officer WMDA, Yasmeen Khan said that it is a cumbersome process and will take time to collect data of five years. “We have started the process of collecting data and in fact I have written to ACB seeking more time,” she said. (KNT)
