Expresses gratitude to Lt Governor, his administration for immediate redressal of demands and grievances.

Srinagar, 21 July : National Conference Senior Leader and former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar on Tuesday requested Ganderbalties to leave behind ideological differences and work together for Ganderbal’s development and betterment.

“I have one request for all the political parties, civil society groups, senior citizens and others in Ganderbal that there might be different ideologies, but we all have to come together in question of development and Ganderbal’s betterment.So whatever we need to do, we would do together,” Jabbar said in a press conference here in Ganderbal.

Addressing the media, Jabbar hailed Leuitent Governor Shri G C Murmu, his administration and district administration Ganderbal for expediting the work on different projects in Ganderbal district.

Recalling his meeting with Lt Governor and his administration Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar said that last week a delegation led by me , comprising people from different walks of life including traders, MCG Chairman, senior citizens, civil society members and others interacted with L G G C Murmu at Raj Bhavan Srinagar and apprised the Lt Governor of various developmental issues and other issues of public importance of Ganderbal district and sought his intervention in resolving the same.

Demands pertaining to Central University of Kashmir, execution of work on 93 MW New Ganderbal Hydro-electric Power project, land acquisition for four laning of Pandach Beehama road; functioning of Unani College and Hospital; issue of Quarry workers ( Sand & Bajri workers), development of Lar Marg/ Mohand Marg as tourist destination; development of various play fields & parks; upgradation of different PHCs; establishment of Women Degree College; upgradation of High Schools; lift irrigation schemes, concession to the PHH ration cards; strengthening of road network, floating garden, development of Ganderbal town under AMRUT, Toll plaza, solid waste management project, etc. were raised and projected by the members of the delegations to Lt Governor, Jabbar said.

While speaking to media Jabbar demanded rehabilitation of shopkeepers and others affected by road widening. He also urged Lt Governor Administration that local youths should be given preference in employment and other opportunities in different projects in Ganderbal.

Praising G C Murmu , Chief Secretary, Div Com Kashmir, DC Ganderbal and other officers for taking keen interest in completion of developmental projects in Ganderbal district, former MLA Ganderbal in his statement expressed satisfaction over the response of Lt Governor and his administration to the public demands and felt confident that all the developmental projects in the district will be completed.

Mr Jabbar also thanked and hailed the senior citizens, civil society members, traders and others for raising several issues and demands concerning the welfare of various sections of the society and above all we met Lt Governor by keeping aside our ideological and other affiliations.

He however said that he stands with his party and its ideology, Jabbar added.
