Budgam, 01 Aug, KDC: A pillion rider was killed while as motorcyclist sustained injuries after they met with an accident early Saturday morning near Sahara Automobiles at Aripanthan village in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Official sources told news agency KDC that a motorcycle bearing registration number MH12FB/1591 collided with a Wagonor vehicle bearing registration number JKO1P 0218 at about 08.30 hours Saturday morning resulting in the injuries to both rider as well as his pillion.
However, both the injured were immediately taken to Sub district hospital Magam where doctors declared pillion rider as brought dead and the rider was undergoing specialized treatment when reports last came in.
The deceased pillion rider was identified as Showkat Ahmad sheikh of kokerbag khag in Budgam while as the injured motorcyclist as Tariq Ahmad wani son of Bashir Ahmad wani of khag Budgam.
Meanwhile, A police officer while confirming the incident told KDC that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and police party have been deputed on spot, further investigations are on,he added. (KDC)
