Keeping in view present situation, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education is likely to reduce the syllabus by one-third for students appearing in the board examination.

Reliable sources from the school education department have revealed to news portal, Kashmir Reformer, that after conducting multiple meetings over the issue of rationalization and reduction in syllabus for 10th to 12th classes, the official are likely to reduce syllabus by one-third.

Veina Pandita, the JKBOSE Secretary, said that they have conducted multiple meeting and are going to send a proposal to goverment on Monday. She said that they will make announcement once goverment will approve it.

She asked students not to worry and assured that every decision will be taken for the betterment of students and their academics.

Talking about the recent notification, she said, “The notification regarding submission of forms is a formality and for database purpose. Upto now, last date for submission of forms is 25th, however, due to the lockdown situation, we may extend if further by 10 or more days.”

Giving hints about reduction in syllabus, she said that they too will fix the syllabus like Central Board of Education did. She said that a formal decision in thia regard will be taken soon.
