Srinagar: The candidates who have qualified the examination for the post of Jammu and Kashmir Sub-Inspectors (JKSI) on Wednesday held a protest demonstration here demanding issuing of formal appointment order for selected candidates.

Scores of the candidates assembled in press enclave holding placards and banners in their hands which read “Implent the court orders”, “Jago Jago Home department Jago,” “Governor Sahib Pay attention”, “We want justice,” and “Issue appointment orders without any delay”.

Suhail Anees Khan, one of the protesters from Kulgam district said the State government has announced has posts for the Sub inspector in police department.

“But in December 2018 the our results has been declared, we have qualified the posts,” he said.

“Some of the candidates have filled a petition in High Court in which high court has given stay order for the appointment process, the Court has directed the department to go ahead with the appointment process without any delay” he said.

The protesters requested the governor Satya Paul malik to look into the matter and issue the formal appointment orders.
