Soldier injured in Kupwara LOC

Kupwara, Sep 28 : An army soldier was injured in a cross border shelling in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation along LoC in Machhhal Sector, Kupwara on Monday morning by firing Mortars & other weapons.

He said befitting response is being given.

The officer however added that a soldier was injured in cross border shelling and was evacuated.

The officer further added that the condition of soldier is said to be stable.
