Srinagar, Oct 07 (KW): Kashmir Valley along Jammu division is likely to experience dry weather over the next seven to ten days, Kashmir Weather said.

Kashmir Weather has forecast a clear sky with temperatures staying one to four degrees above normal on Wednesday.

J&K is likely to stay clear of any significant weather activity for the next ten days, which is up to October 17. A couple of western disturbances will travel in the higher latitudes and their effect will not be felt. Though, isolated rains or thundershower activities are possible.

In the absence of any significant weather, the day temperature is likely to stay two to four degrees above normal. Morning and night temperatures will continue to remain cooler. A further dip in minimum temperatures is expected in the coming days.

Temperature Update

The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded the minimum temperature at 5.3 degrees Celsius which is 3.2 degrees below normal.

Pahalgam health resort registered a minimum of 3.4 degrees Celsius, while the famous ski-resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded a low temperature of 7.0 degrees Celsius.

Kokernag in south Kashmir recorded a low of 8.0 degrees Celsius, while the mercury in the nearby Qazigund settled at a low of 5.8 degrees Celsius.

The mercury in Kupwara, in north Kashmir, settled at a low of 4.0 degrees Celsius.

Leh and Kargil in Ladakh Union Territory, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.4 and 1.0 degrees Celsius respectively.

The temperatures in Jammu settled at a low of 19.1 degress Celsius while as minimum temperatures in Banihal, Bhaderwah, Batote and Katra settled at 6.6, 8.8, 12.4 & 17.2 degrees Celsius respectively.(Kashmir Weather)
