JOINT FIRE FIGHTING EXERCISE BY INDIAN ARMY
AND DEGREE COLLEGE TANGDAR

In order to bring effectivenes and synergy in fire fighting resources, the Indian Army and civil administration conducted a joint exercise in the area of Government College, Kandi in Karnah. The fire crews of Defense Fire Services and Civil State Fire Services Department of both participated in the exercise along with fire tenders and equipment and practiced the drills so as to have the skills and achieve better understanding of each other’s capabilities. Other capabilities, resources and plans to carryout fire fighting were discussed and deliberated upon in detail. In addition to troops fire tender personnel, the police and civilians from nearby villages were also engaged in the exercise. For the benefit of the students of the Government College, a lecture on fire fighting was conducted by qualified defense personnel trained at CFEEC Delhi (Fire Fighting Institute). The students were educated on types and causes of fire, preventive measures, fire fighting equipment and fire tenders. The faculty of the college was also present during the educative classes. The demonstration of these equipments was also carried out for the students, followed by an interactive session.
