KSI organizes 2nd national level sufiyat conference at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, November 25: After successful two days National Level Sufiyat Conference Titled Sufism -700 years roots in Kashmir which was last week inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P.K Pole, today another second series conference was held at prestigious Town Hall Ganderbal which witnessed the flow of Treasure of books, Research papers, presided by Shafqat Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal and Khwaja Farooq Renzushah, Chairman Kashmir Society International.

Khwaja Farooq Renzushah Chairman Kashmir Society International (KSI) which organized this conference in association with District Administration and the District Information Centre, Ganderbal underscored the importance of Ganderbal in producing Sufi literary knowledge during the last 700 years.

On the occasion, Deputy commissioner appreciated Renzushah for promoting Literature of Love and high valued knowledge and selecting Ganderbal for holding such a prestigious conference on Sufiyat.

On this occasion Ahsaan ul Haq Chasti Dy. Director Tourism, Aijaz EO, Municipal Council Ganderbal, Riyaz Fazili DIO Ganderbal, Muhtashi Dr. Tabish Rafiqi, Dy. Director of Social welfare, Rashid Raheel, Chief Asian Mail and Author of various books were among the most prominent personalities present on the occasion.

Hundreds of distinguished Authors of high valued Sufi Books, Poets, Ulma’s participated in this second series of National Level conference.
Renowned Sufi Singer Jenab Bashir Shamsi Tailbali, Zubaida Ali and Masrat Jee presented spiritual Sufi Songs and Naatiya recitations.

High caliber Sufi Authors presented their Globally, and National level 51 circulated books on Tasawuf in English, Urdu, and Kashmiri languages. While fresh Sufi books of Hazrat Mohammad Shafi Bahrari Sahib’s book Payam Moerifat, Waen Poyum yaad, Maerit Mojood, Gude Baen Aadam were released by chairman, Kashmir Society International along with Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Dy. Director Tourism and DIO Ganderbal.
In his inaugural address Deputy commissioner said that Sufiyat has hundreds of years roots in Kashmir and the time has come to revive this ideology of love and mutual brotherhood. He said that there is no doubt that during the last several decade’s Literature of Hate and poison had spoiled Society and to heal this damage caused to the proud Civilization of love, the present treasure of literature can play a vital role.

He said that District Administration will ensure that Divisional Libraries, Education department, cultural Departments should remove literature of hate which divide people and encourage Literature of love which was in Vogue in Kashmir for last several centuries.

He said that he was highly impressed with the Sufi Content of Sufi books of Hundreds of Authors who are true Glittering stars of Knowledge of our Kashmir. He said that Kashmir has been shaped as a proud society by Great Sufi Awaliyas and the District administration will play its role to keep their memories of love alive.

DC was pleased to Give Certificate of Honour to prestigious Authors on the occasion including those who presented spiritual music.
Khwaja Renzushah chairman on this occasion pointed out that Kashmir identity is a treasure of our knowledge which has been presented today. He said unfortunately during the last 70 years Sufi literature was the biggest casualty and more than 72 lakh books were either destroyed in series of fire incidents in various khankah’s or deliberately kept out of circulations which gave free space to most unwanted literature of hate in Kashmir causing a sense of disunity and divisions in the society.

On this occasion Scholars, Authors, Ulma’s, Mirwaiz’s, Sajadah Nisheen’s presented their papers and Awards of honour were presented.
