Missing elderly man found dead in Verinag forests

Verinag, Mar 18 (KNO): An elderly man, who had gone missing a month ago, was found dead in the forests of Verinag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday afternoon.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man identified as Mohammad Ismail Sayal son of Kallu Sayal, a resident of Chowgam area of Qazigund was missing for the last one month.
“The family of the deceased lodged a missing report at Police Station Qazigund on 16 February after which they started searching for him but he could not be traced until his body was found near Rain Chowgund, a forests of Verinag today,” he said.
Meanwhile, a police officer said that investigation has been initiated in this regard—(KNO)
