Public issues, grievance redressal top priority: DC Kupwara
Negligent, corrupt officials will be dealt lawfully

Kupwara, December 15: The public Greviences and developmental work will be the prime focus of district administration said Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Anshul Garg in a meeting with Journalists & Writers Association Kupwara (JWAK) on Tuesday.

In its first interaction with the administration, the core committee of JWAK headed by President Fayaz Hameed met DC Kupwara and raised public issues and issues faced by journalists in the district.

DC assured that the public related issues will be redressed on priority basis.

During the meeting JWAK Patron Rasikh Rasool raised the issue of corruption in the district. He said that many officials are involved in corrupt practices and are neglecting the problem faced by the general public.

DC Kupwara assured stern action against the govt officials, officers who are non serious towards their duties and causing troubles to the public by neglecting the poor and needful people and are involved in any corruption.

He asked general public and the journalists to bring geneuine issues into the notice of district administration.

Meanwhile the core committee of JWAK decided to form a fact finding committee to find out the corruption related matters and will expose the govt officials involved in malpractices.

At the end core committee including President Fayaz Hameed, Abrar Bhat, Rasik Rasool, Ashraf Chirag, Irfan Lone, Kamran Ashraf, Peer Azhar thanked DC Kupwara for taking the public issues seriously and responding promptly to the grievances.
