Srinagar, Sep 26, KDC: Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday suspended Mohd. Mujib-ur Rehman Ghassi, Special Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department and Ashiq Hussian, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K and pending inquiry against them.

In order by commissioner secretary to government Manoj Kumar Diwedi said “Pending inquiry into his conduct, Mr. Mujib ur Rehamn Gassi, KAS, Special Secretary to government Industries and Commerce department is here by placed under suspension, with immediate effect in terms of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.”

During the period of his suspension, he shall remain attached with the General Administration Department (GAD), reads an order copy from government.

Similar suspension order has been issued against Ashiq Hussian, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K. However he has been asked to remain attached in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir during the period of his suspension, reads a government order, a copy of which lies with KDC. (KDC)
